Hi! I'm a first-year direct-entry PhD student in Artificial Intelligence @ Xi'an Jiaotong University, advised by prof. Badong Chen.
Research
My research investigates the Cognitive Mechanisms of AI Systems, with a particular focus on Autonomous Agents. By leveraging frameworks from cognitive science, I aim to diagnose structural gaps in how current AI agents reason, monitor, and act—limitations that standard task-level benchmarks often obscure.
My work transitions from cognitive diagnosis to constructive proposal, aiming to drive improvements in AI architectures and alignment. I am especially interested in how specific cognitive capacities—such as executive function, working memory, and metacognitive monitoring—manifest and fail differently across language models and action-taking agents.
